Première femme élue dans une région du Nord Mali, Oumou Seck Sall, Maire de Goundam, s’était vue remettre en 2008 le Prix International des Droits Humains « Pool Lauritzen», ainsi que le Trophée d’initiative décerné par le Président Directeur Général du Groupe Airness, puis en 2010, le prix «Women In Excellence», et, en 2016, à Agadez au Niger, le renommé Prix international de la Fondation Mano Dayak.
En 2014 Oumou avait signé un retentissant article publié dans le New York Times pour attirer l’attention du président Obama et du Secrétaire Général des Nations Unies sur la situation dramatique au nord Mali suite aux incursions djihadistes.
Reconnue au plan international et dans son pays comme porteuse de paix et de dialogue, gageons qu’elle saura, au sein de Gouvernement, et à la tête de l'important ministère de l’Entrepreneuriat national, de l’Emploi et de la Formation professionnelle, porter une dynamique nouvelle dans le domaine prioritaire qui lui a été confié par le Chef de l’Etat, Assimi Goïta, et ce, dans un contexte difficile.
Son expérience tant locale, comme Maire de Goundam, que diplomatique, et son large réseau international, ne sera probablement pas inutile. Oumou Seck Sall était jusqu'en mai 2023, ambassadeur du Mali à Berlin et dans plusieurs capitales du nord de l'Europe. Elle avait acontribué à la création de I-Dialogos International, dont elle est co-présidente.
Les membres du Comité de pilotage, au nom de l’ensemble des participants au Réseau international I-Dialogos, adressent à Madame la Ministre et au nouveau Gouvernement comme à tous les Maliens, leurs vœux de succès dans cette nouvelle étape pour le développement et la paix au Mali . Si besoin était et dans la mesure de nos moyens, nous ferons le maximum pour la réussite de ce challenge qui dépasse les frontières du pays.

The first woman elected in a region of northern Mali, Oumou Seck Sall, Mayor of Goundam, was awarded the 2008 International Human Rights Prize "Pool Lauritzen," as well as the Initiative Trophy presented by the CEO of the Airness Group. In 2010, she received the "Women In Excellence" award, and in 2016, in Agadez, Niger, the renowned international Prize of the Mano Dayak Foundation.
In 2014, Oumou wrote a striking article published in the New York Times to draw the attention of President Obama and the Secretary-General of the United Nations to the dramatic situation in northern Mali following jihadist incursions.
Recognized internationally and in her home country as a bearer of peace and dialogue, we can be confident that she will bring a new dynamic to the important Ministry of National Entrepreneurship, Employment, and Vocational Training entrusted to her by President Assimi Goïta, despite the challenging context.
Her experience, both local as Mayor of Goundam and diplomatic, along with her wide international network, will likely be valuable. Oumou Seck Sall was, until May 2023, Mali’s Ambassador to Berlin and several northern European capitals. She contributed to the creation of I-Dialogos International, where she is Co-President.
The members of the Steering Committee, on behalf of all participants in the I-Dialogos International Network, extend their best wishes for success to Madam Minister, the new Government, and all Malians as they embark on this new stage for development and peace in Mali. Oumou Seck Sall war bis Mai 2023 Botschafterin von Mali in Berlin und mehreren nordischen Hauptstädten. Sie trug zur Gründung von I-Dialogos International bei, wo sie Co-Präsidentin ist.Die Mitglieder des Lenkungsausschusses, im Namen aller Teilnehmer des I-Dialogos International Netzwerks, wünschen der Ministerin, der neuen Regierung und allen Maliern viel Erfolg, während sie diese neue Phase der Entwicklung und des Friedens in Mali beginnen.
